Recovery from Addictive Behaviors

Becoming free from abusing substances is hard.
If you’re in recovery, you already know sobriety isn’t just about putting substances down. It’s also about learning how to live all over again.
For so long, alcohol or drugs may have shaped how you coped, how you connected, and even how you saw yourself. Without them, it can feel like you’re relearning everything: how to handle stress, how to have fun, how to be in relationships, and how to sit with your own thoughts.
It can feel like a rebirth – freeing but also overwhelming. You may be asking yourself: “Who am I now? How do I move forward? Can I really build a life that feels good without going back to old patterns?”
Those questions are standard and exactly what we can work through together.

Counseling can support your recovery.
When you and I work together, I’ll support you and help you keep it honest. Sobriety takes more than willpower; it takes facing yourself in real ways.
We’ll talk about your triggers, the urges that come up, and the blind spots that can sneak in when you’re not looking. My job is to help you face those things directly, practice accountability, and build confidence in your ability to live with integrity.
Together, we’ll also dig into what using substances helped you avoid – whether that’s old pain, stress, or unhealed wounds. Then, we will start building healthier ways to cope. This isn’t just about avoiding relapse. It’s about creating a life you actually want to stay sober for.
I bring clinical expertise and recovery community experience, so our work will combine professional tools with real-world understanding. You don’t have to sugarcoat things with me because I’ll meet you where you are and work together.

Our Counter-Cultural World speaks against sobriety.
Staying sober in today’s world isn’t easy. Everywhere you turn, drinking and substance use are celebrated, normalized, and even expected.
Choosing sobriety can feel like swimming against the current – and sometimes it’s exhausting. That’s why it’s so important to have support in learning ways to hold your ground, stay true to yourself, and live in alignment with the life you’re building.

Let’s work to make sobriety possible.
If you’re ready to move beyond just “staying sober” and into building a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and worth protecting, counseling can help. Sobriety isn’t the end of your story. It’s the start of a new one. Let’s create that life together.
