FAQ
What do I do to get started?
Go to our contact page, and you can email my general practice through the website with your general concerns, issues, and goals that are bringing you to seek therapy services. You can also call the phone number listed and leave a confidential voicemail with your name, number, and reasons for seeking therapy and I will reach out to you directly to schedule our first, free 15 minute consultation call.
Does Campanelli Counseling offer both teletherapy and in-person therapy?
Campanelli Counseling is currently only offering telehealth and virtual counseling services to residents of Tennessee.
When Needing Emergency Services
For any medical emergencies, clients are instructed always to call 911. Suppose a client is having suicidal ideation without a plan and intent, and it is after working hours (9 am-6 pm CST, M-F). In that case, the client is instructed to contact 988, personal support people, and engage with a safety plan before contacting an individual clinician. If a client is having active suicidal ideation with a plan and intent and feels as if they are going to be a danger to themself or someone else, call 911 immediately.
How long is a typical session, and how much does it cost?
Intakes are 90 minutes and cost $175. Individual and couples/family counseling sessions are 50 minutes and cost $175.
Does Campanelli Counseling accept insurance?
Yes, Campanelli Counseling accepts certain insurance carriers. If you do not want to use or do not have health insurance, the self-pay rate is listed above.
Does Campanelli Counseling prescribe medication?
No, at this time, it does not offer medication management treatment services.
Are you a religiously affiliated counseling practice?
No, Campanelli Counseling is a secular group practice and does not endorse a particular religion.
However, Campanelli Counseling clinicians value a client’s religious beliefs and promote spiritual and religious development in session if this aligns with a client’s personal goals.
How do I schedule and cancel an appointment? How do I pay? How can I contact my therapist?
Most of your concerns as a client will be handled via the therapy portal, for which you will receive a link to register once you become an established client with Campanelli Counseling.
You can message your therapist, pay for sessions, schedule and cancel appointments, submit personal and clinical documents, access practice policies and procedures, access client rights and consent forms, and complete clinical assessments sent to you by your provider via the telehealth online platform.
Does Campanelli Counseling work with children?
Currently, no. Our current clinicians only work with clients 16+ years of age. In the future, if a clinician changes their age range in their practice or we have a new clinician who begins working with children, we will promptly advertise this to our practice clientele.
Are you licensed?
Yes, all our clinicians are licensed professional counselors with mental health specialty providers (LPC-MHSP). This means that all of our therapists have passed and completed their required post-graduate testing, supervision, and clinical hours, along with complying with state board regulatory ethics and considerations to be recognized as a fully licensed mental health treatment provider.
As a clinician, I am also a licensed Music Therapist (MT-BC), and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
What apps make your life better?
Finch (a cute bird mental health app that reminds me to slow down and check in with myself!) and Spotify because I use music for everything. Online meditation apps like Headspace and the Calm app are a great resource as well.
Cats or Dogs?
Both, all of them. Dogs, cats, pigs, goats, horses, and cows. I’m an animal person.
Any personal facts that you think are important for your clients to know about you?
I’m an open and honest book, what you see is what you get!
What’s the best piece of life advice you’ve ever been given?
“Blessed are the flexible, for they shall bend and not break with the wind.”
“Nothing changes if nothing changes.”
“Sometimes you need to let go of the rope.”
