Annabelle Campanelli, LPC-MHSP, NCC, MT-BC, MA

My credentials and specialties are as follows:

I am a licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider, and Board-Certified Music Therapist, who provides Individual Counseling, Couples Counseling, and Music Therapy.

I believe healing is possible, even if your story begins with pain. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP), I specialize in helping adults work through the lasting impact of Complex PTSD (CPTSD) and early childhood attachment trauma. These deep-rooted wounds often stem from experiences such as family of origin dysfunction, childhood abuse, and narcissistic abuse.

Early attachment injuries can shape our relationships, self-worth, and nervous system responses, but they don’t have to define our future. My role is to help you feel safe, seen, and supported while gently challenging you to grow.

Clients who work with me often describe our sessions as empowering, engaging, and grounded in trust. I believe healing happens in relationships, which means creating a space where all parts of you are welcome, even the ones you’re still learning to understand or accept.

Therapy focuses on improving your life.

At the core of my work is a deep belief that everyone can learn the skills and gain the insight needed to improve their lives. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you – it’s about reconnecting with your strengths, learning how to regulate your nervous system, and building the tools to move forward with more freedom, confidence, and clarity.

While trauma recovery is my primary focus, I also have extensive training and experience in addiction recovery, relationship distress and couples counseling, domestic violence recovery, and professional career coaching.

Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals and couples in a variety of clinical settings, including:

Inpatient and partial-hospitalization care for OCD, phobias, and anxiety disorders, residential and intensive outpatient addiction treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, intensive outpatient psychiatric care, outpatient at-risk youth behavioral programs, and behavior modification for ADHD/ASD in a private practice setting. I’ve also addressed addiction, general mental health needs, acute stress responses, CPTSD, sports/performance counseling, and couples and family therapy in private practice settings.

My approach is multifaceted.

It is interactive, directive when needed, strengths-based, and always person-centered. I integrate evidence-based methods tailored to your goals, drawing from:

  • Polyvagal and somatic, trauma-informed practices
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Narrative and Attachment-Based Interventions
